You may remember this name from 2023, when Wadmilton, and a fellow colleague from São Tomé & Príncipe received some funding to cover tuition for their MSc at the University of the Algarve.
We were delighted to hear back from Wadmilton, who has pursued his marine biology studies and is now doing his PhD on Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution, at the University of Porto’s prestigious CIBIO research group! Damn, well done Wadmilton!
For his thesis, Wadmilton is studying the use of e-DNA (environmental DNA) to study the diversity and distribution of elasmobranchs in São Tomé &Príncipe. We wish him the very best and were very happy to contribute with 500 euros towards his research efforts.
