Remember our Carp(e) Diem Mission one week ago??
This week’s edition was waaaaay smoother on the documentation front, but then the London-Lisbon flight got delayed for two hours, which made us all fear that we’d have to work until sunrise… But then, a miracle… The pilot kicked in the afterburners, and all import procedures went as flawlessly as they possibly could!
The difference in water chemistry was also remarkably lower than last week’s, particularly temperature, since we didn’t get scorched like 7 days ago! Given all of the above, the acclimation process went much faster and we found ourselves closing this remarkable operation again at the Costa Azul restaurant but only at 23h45, instead of last week’s midnight!
Not a bad ending to an op that introduced 8.000 Cyprinus carpio to a lake which, we all hope, will remain mosquito-free thanks to their appetite!
