Another day, another sea-turtle

Did you know that Flying Sharks welcomed and recovered close to 100 (!) sea-turtles at the Porto Pim Aquarium since its opening in June 2013?

Click here for one of our most recent adventures, involving animals that were stranded in the UK and The Netherlands, which then flew to us for some tender-love-and-care before their big oceanic journey from Horta.

This latest transfer at Lisbon airport was carefully supervised by our Junior Turtle Inspector, who oversaw all steps, with his partner Ninucha and a watchful eye.

Many thanks to TAP Cargo, Menzies-Portugal and Azores Airlines for their generous cooperation, always ensuring these animals get the best possible care while on the ground and/or on air.

Now it’s time for our Azorean team to help our Dutch new little friend recover nicely, before its big oceanic journey to infinity, and beyond!
