Research Fund 24/04 :: Ricardo Mendes

Remember Ricardo Mendes, who received some funding from us in 2022, so he could finish his Marine Biology degree in Iceland while studying Orcas??

We were delighted to recently hear from Ricardo that he just started yet another internship at the Polytechnic University of Marche, in Ancona, Italy, studying the distribution of large pelagics in the Mediterranean Sea.

This project uses computerized models focused mostly, but not exclusively, on the mighty Mako and Great White sharks, so there’s no way we wouldn’t help Ricardo be part of this!

We therefore sent him 300 euros and look forward to hearing back his great results.
