Remember Fabiana Rodrigues (second from the left in the photo), who received 200 euros from us back in April, so she could do her internship at the Pula Aquarium??
Well, she had such an enjoyable time that she decided to do another internship at the Malta National Aquarium, also known as ‘Sharklab’.
Upon her return, Fabiana sent us a report highlighting her key experiences and skills gained during a marine biology internship at Sharklab-Malta. The internship involved diverse tasks, including field surveys, dissections, and public outreach. Interns and volunteers participated in the collection and analysis of elasmobranch data, contributed to educational content, and supported conservation efforts. This hands-on experience significantly enhanced their scientific knowledge and practical skills, effectively preparing them for future careers in marine biology.
The internship proved invaluable for developing essential competencies such as research, teamwork, and
