Every year a significant number of Marine Biology seniors from ESTM say they’d like to do their internships with sharks, dolphins, or… Killer Whales!
Every year they endure the teasing of fellow students and suspicion of family and friends, who deem this objective as too difficult to reach. Well, it was our absolute pleasure to help not one, but two, students travel to Vestmannaeyjar, in Iceland, so they can study orcas with the Icelandic Orca Project.
The first of those students was Ricardo Mendes and the second is Pedro Teixeira, also a recipient of 500 euros, shown above using an incredibly fashionable t-shirt!
