Research Fund 24/04 :: Beatriz Monteiro
May 4, 2024Another day, another badass order
May 11, 2024We promise this will be the last of these “Research Fund 24/04” posts with students from ESTM. What can we say? We have a generous heart and these kids found their way to it!
So let’s recap just how many ESTM marine biology students received funding from us this year, shall we?
First there was Pedro Santos, who flew to the National Aquarium in Abu Dhabi and applied more than one year ago, which is why he received the lion’s share!
Then Fabiana Rodrigues and Beatriz Monteiro also received some funding to support their travels to the Pula Aquarium.
And, finally, Afonso Conde and Miguel Borges, who were also very dilligent and applied early last year, receiving 400 euros each so they could fly to the Malta Aquarium and graduate as marine biologists.
Wait a minute? That’s not all, we’re still missing Cláudia Francisco’s photo, but we should get that one quickly.
So that’s six ESTM students who received funding from Flying Sharks to assist their senior internships and graduate as future marine biologists. We can only hope that this year’s generosity will inspire them to return the favor to younger students in years to come and also to do their best to protect the world’s oceans and their inhabitants.
We’re pretty confident that they will.
…because, if they don’t, we know where they live!
Mwahahahahahah!
