Remember our friend Francisco Serra, who received some funding so he could travel to South Africa and study sharks to finish his Marine Biology degree?

This young man promised us that, once he arrived to South Africa, he’d send us a kickass photo of himself with a shark…
…and we think he delivered beautifully on his promise, and then some!

But that’s not all!
On World Oceans Day, of all dates, Francisco told us that his funding application to the good people from Clear Reef’s Social Fund also got accepted so, not only did he receive 1.060 euros from us, he got an additional 2.000 dollars from Clear Reef as well!
Well done, Francisco!
This massive achievement is true testament to what we say all the time in our motivational lectures: “Be a Melga!”, which is Portuguese for those annoying little buzzing mosquitos that keep you from sleeping at night! We’re firm believers in the power of being a first-class Melga and following the wise words of our friend Danny Oliva, an astronaut we listened to a few days ago: “Work hard and niver give up!”
