Azorean Grapsus adscensionis to Houston

Check out these gorgeous Grapsus adscensionis we collected in beautiful Faial and just shipped to Houston Zoo.

This was no easy feat, because these guys don’t enjoy being fully submerged, but we figured out the right – and safe – way to move them and every single animal arrived safely to the land of Texas!

These animals are known as the “East Atlantic Sally Lightfoot Crab” and this was the first time we shipped them, a process that came with its own learning curve, as we ran multiple simulated transports before the real one.
