Congratulations Niv Froman, from Manta Trust, who is about to embark on an exciting Ph.D. focused on the reproductive ecology of mobulid rays involving a completely new methodological approach, which will enable Niv's team to study the reproductive activity of wild animals with no impact on the welfare of these endangered species. As part of his project, Niv is currently planning a fieldwork trip to Sri Lanka to collect critical data on mobulid rays anatomy which will be crucial to the interpretation of data collected from wild animals. This simply sounded too damn cool, so we sent Niv 850 euros.
